Like we said in part one of this series, we’re proud to be part of a community that is supporting each other through such a rough time. That’s why, in addition to providing lifesaving medical devices, we’re supporting small businesses in our area.
Keeping It Clean
As you know, when it comes to building high-quality medical devices, having clean, sanitized hands is a must. That’s why we’re using hand sanitizer from New Holland Brewing Company.
The brewery is located right here in Grand Rapids. Although they’re best known for some of their stouts, it turns out that their sanitizer packs just as much of a punch as their lagers.
Our previous hand sanitizer supplier was so overwhelmed with demand that they pushed out shipment dates until August. Luckily, we had a local alternative. Thanks, New Holland Brewing Company!
Boosting Morale
Our industry has been deemed essential, and that means that we have employees who are in the clean rooms every single workday. In order to keep morale high, we decided to start treating them to lunch, with a local twist, of course.
We’ve been purchasing lunches from local small businesses for our team every week. Of course, we have these meals delivered safely, and we require our team members to wash up properly before and after each meal.
Most recently, we ordered from Two Scotts BBQ. We have to say, it was definitely a hit around the office. Our operators loved it! Not only was our team treated to good food, but we got to support a local small business, too. We look forward to continuing the tradition in the weeks to come.
These are trying times. It’s essential for our communities to band together and support each other. We’ll get through this together.
