Meet Thao Selleck, our new Senior Quality Engineer. Thao has a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management from Capella University. She also has over a decade of experience in the medical manufacturing industry and brings this expertise to our team. She’s motivated every day by her love for clients and passion for innovation.
Although she’s recently joined the team, Thao already loves the new environment. “Everyone here is passionate about their job,” she says. “We’re all hands on deck when something needs to get done, whether it’s ensuring quality products are being produced or orders are getting out the door.”
Our team loves to collaborate to create quality products. We think of ourselves as a family instead of just a team. Thao says, “You don’t hear anyone say, ‘that’s not my job.’ We all learn, figure things out together and pitch in and have fun. It’s a great environment and culture.”
Thao comes to work with an enthusiasm that’s uncommon outside of our team. She doesn’t just tackle one day at a time but likes to think forward about how she can improve the future. “I’m excited to develop my skills in other areas to continue to grow the business and ensure we’re producing high quality products for our customers and ultimately the patients who will be benefiting from them.”
Although Thao puts her all into her job, she is no stranger to downtime. When she’s not at work, she loves baking and reading. She also spends her days working with her husband to raise two young sons. Once they grow up, Thao’s excited to get back into physical activities, like participating in the Warrior Dash.
As the Senior Quality Engineer, Thao isn’t afraid to make changes that will benefit end users. “I definitely learned throughout my career to just enjoy the journey, to be open to new opportunities, and to not be afraid to reach for your goals. Change is inevitable, so just embrace it. It could lead to an exciting new adventure. As one of my favorite fictional characters, Albus Dumbledore, said, ‘And now, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.’”
